Dan Yeung, CFA

    Dan has over 18 years of experience in the areas of private wealth, alternative investments, portfolio management, manager research and institutional consulting. Prior to joining The CAPROCK Group, Dan was the Chief Investment Strategist at Purcell Advisory Services, an alternative asset management firm. Prior to Purcell, Dan gained extensive manager research experience at the Threshold Group, a multi-family office serving ultra-high-net-worth families. Prior to that, Dan served as a senior investment officer managing mutual funds at Accessor Capital Management, a Seattle-based fund manager with assets over $3 billion. Dan started his career with Chicago-based Morningstar where he had spent more than nine years, serving such institutional clients as major insurance companies, corporate retirement plans, banks and trust companies.

    Dan holds an MBA with concentrations in Analytic Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Economics with Honors from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Dan has served on the Board of Seattle Alternative Investment Association since 2014. Additionally, Dan has been a CFA Charterholder since 2000 and is a member of the CFA Society of Seattle. In giving back to the community, Dan teaches finance classes for The University of Washington Bothell School of Business’ MBA program during his spare time.
