John L. Hague

Hague joined PIMCO in 1987 to specialize in portfolio management. At that time, the portfolio management group consisted of four people, led by Bill Gross, with assets under management approximating $4.5 billion. While serving on both the firm’s Investment Committee and Executive Committee, John was one of five Generalist Portfolio Managers reporting directly to Bill Gross, where he managed approximately $30 billion AUM in 130 separate institutional accounts.

A New York native, John was educated in New York, Paris, Maine, London and California. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bowdoin College and spent his junior year at the London School of Economics. He went on to gain an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of business where he specialized in finance.
