Mark Berryman

    Mark has 18 years experience in impact investing, emerging markets finance, and international development. Prior to joining the CAPROCK Group, Mark spent over 10 years as a Lead Investment Officer with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group focused on investing in impact funds and financial institutions in emerging markets. While at the IFC, he was field-based in Turkey, West Africa, and Washington DC. In addition, his most recent IFC role consisted of managing a critical relationship in Beijing with the Central Bank of China on financial inclusion. Mark also led Deutsche Bank’s Global Social investment Funds Group creating and managing structured debt funds for financial inclusion and social enterprises. Mark holds an MBA and Masters in International Affairs from Georgetown University and BA in Accounting from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Mark began his career as a 3-year Peace Corps Volunteer in Mali, West Africa and has held other positions in the private sector and within the World Bank Group before joining the IFC. He speaks French and is conversational in two native African dialects.
